Monster
Am I a monster?
For loving you
For giving myself to you
100%
When I give myself
Less and less
To the one that was before you
Am I a monster?
Because everyday
I jeopardize the feelings
Of the one I’ve claimed to “love”
All this confusion
Because how can I be wrong
For loving someone
Who adores me
Just as much as I adore them
I’m gone…
She caresses my neck
I act as if
I’m dead to the world
Just lying there lifeless
Only awaken by your touch
And then…
A pure adrenaline Rush!
I could never be committed
Because my heart
Will always desire you
No matter how long we are apart
I always seem
To come right back to you.
If I can’t have you…
And you’re always around
How do I move on from you
I can’t
I’ve tried…
And now I’m convinced
I’m involved in something
I can NEVER be apart from
What did u do to me?
Craving u entirely

Gosh I wonder if any of the (two?) people who inspired this poem are able to read it! Wow, that’s intense! Very beautiful poem Mr. Watson.
Thank you Terah! 😀
Wow, yeah agree with the above. You capture some really important ideas about human nature and communication; how we can have such ambivalent, seemingly contradictory feelings about another person and how different people can see the same situation so differently. If we could just express ourselves like you do, there could be a lot more understanding and maybe even a little more love! Very good writing, as usual : )
Thank you so much! I’m glad you think so! And yes… Maybe we all would love a lil more! 🙂 Always appreciate your comments!!!
Excellent poetry… and wow….whats Terah Van Dusen said. LOL
Thank you 🙂
Great poem and feel to it. Brings me right into the heart of your love that you have for whom you are speaking about. I love reading about a man loving a woman then I know Love is real in the world and not just another careless word … Peace
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed… Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Any object of your affection who doesn’t swoon when reading your poetry is nuts my friend!
Nicely done.

haiku and senryu about annoyances
Thank you !
Absolutely fantastic! It’s an all-too familar story to me. I escaped that need to have them with me, eventually. It’s a freedom so wonderful, yet I believed it’d kill me at the time.

That was both delicate and intense, beautifully crafted. There were little bits of my past calling out to me on this one!
Thank you Helena!
Freaking awesome, is what this poem is. I think you really relate well to your readers. I’m sure you’ve read poems where you’re like ‘wtf are they thinking right now?’, but yours are straight forward and hit a note in a majority of the people, nice catch on the ambiguity of emotions between people. Nice work.
Thank you:-) Glad you enjoyed!
This hit way to close to home…I love the emotion that was ties to it…I felt it for myself. This poem left me speechless.
